About Young Jun Chun

Young Jun Chun is a public finance economist on the faculty of Hanyang University. His primary research interest is in taxation, social-welfare policies, and other issues related to intergenerational redistribution. He has studied pension and welfare reforms and their economic effects, the growth effects of population aging, the fiscal sustainability of government budgets, and the optimal tax burden. His most recent research interest focuses on the revenue structure of public health insurance and on the political economy aspects of health expenditure. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
