About M.R. Narayana

M.R. Narayana is a Professor of Economics in the Center for Economic Studies and Policy at the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bangalore, India. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tsukuba in Japan. His current research includes the construction and application of NTA and Generational Accounting for India to improve understanding of the effects of population age structure on economic growth, as well as the fiscal impacts of population aging, the fiscal sustainability of India’s old-age pension and health-care policies, and the inter-generational allocation of resources and equity.
