About Barthélémy Biao

Barthélémy Biao is Vice-Chancellor of the University of Parakou in Benin. He has collaborated with several regional and international institutions, including the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Central Bank of West Africa States (BCEAO), the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Economic Community of African States (ECOWAS), and the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). His teaching and research focus on international economics (trade and finance), economic and monetary integration, macroeconomic, and economic policy. He is Head of the Research Unit in Economics and Management at the University of Parakou and Head of the Benin Team in the NTA project.
