About Nicole Mun Sim Lai

Nicole Mun Sim Lai is a Population Affairs Officer at the United Nation Population Division in New York. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Hawaii at Manoa. Before joining the United Nations, she was an Assistant Professor in Economics at California State University at Bakersfield and a Senior Lecturer at Monash Unversity Sunway Campus. Her research focuses on intergenerational transfers, population aging, population policy, and development, and she has been actively involved in the NTA project since its establishment.
