NTA Time Use and Gender Workshop Montevideo
October 23-26, 2012, Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, Universidad de la República
With financial support from IDRC through the IDRC-ECLAC study project "Ageing and Development: NTAs in Latin American and the Caribbean," implemented by CELADE- Population Division of United Nations ECLAC.
Facilitator: Gretchen Donehower
The workshop will consist of one day of lecture materials, followed by three days during which country teams may make one-on-one appointments with Gretchen for hands-on work. Note to participants - schedule, materials to bring and pre-workshop questionnaire
Objectives
After the lecture day, country teams should have a good understanding of the methodology to produce consumption and production age and gender profiles for both market-based NTA and time-based household production accounts. We will also discuss each country's specific time use and wage data situations and what unique challenges might be posed by the nature of the available data.
