About the authors

Risto Vaittinen is an Economist with the Research Department of the Finnish Center for Pensions. His concerns focus on the financial sustainability and generational fairness of the pension system. He has analyzed the economic impact of age-related income transfers using NTA and generational accounting.

Reijo Vanne is the Director of the Economic Analysis Unit of the Finnish Pension Alliance. His primary interests are in population economics and the long-term sustainability of the Finnish pension system, based on funding, investment, and the allocation of assets. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Helsinki.
