About the presenters

Lili Vargha is a Research Fellow at the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute and a Ph.D. candidate in Demography at the Doctoral School of Demography and Sociology in Pécs, Hungary. She is involved in the European AGENTA project (Ageing Europe: An application of NTA for explaining and projecting trends in public finances). Previously she participated in the SHARE project (Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe) and in the Hungarian Generational Accounting project.

Robert Ivan Gal is a Senior Research Fellow at the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute, a Senior Extern at TARKI Social Research Institute, and an Affiliated Professor at Corvinus University in Budapest. He has worked on several projects related to population, primarily in but also in Japan. Within the NTA project he is a member of the Gender and Time Use working group and leads the Intergenerational Indicators working group. He has served as a consultant to the European Commission, the International Labor Organization, and several governmental agencies and non-governmental bodies in Hungary. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Groningen.
